When reaching out to people in need,

we never know who we are caring for, or talking to, but God does . . .

The Heart for Israel and her People is a heart deeply touched by a very basic need for food, clothing, a place to sleep at night and work by day. This desperate need is caused by being the victims of war for many years. Rockets and bombs coming in over head, removing limbs and lives to destroying homes and land.

The babies and young children are hardest hit simply because of their lack of life skills in recovering from such trauma. However, entire families and lives are destroyed very often when the family suffers death and destruction in such a horrific way.

From Fresno, California, comes Gleanings for the Hungry, an organization operated by volunteers, an organization that ships dried foods all over the world to distressed areas and third world countries, however, and now to Israel. By Providence, a warrior’s heart, and helping hands, the first of many shipments set sail on October 11, 2010, on a ship for Israel with 42,000 pounds of dried soup mix high in nutritious value, and dried fruit. The goal for 2011 is one container every 90 days to Israel, the first of this year left Oakland March 7, and arrived April 11, 2011.

The second of 2011 arrives May 22, 2011. Because of a few hearts and willing hands, there came many throughout the Land who will store, receive, and continue to serve the hungry and the needy people of this Holy Land. In this short You Tube clip, you will meet some of them. We trust this will touch your hearts as it did ours, and in trust and faith you will reach out to support Israel Food Outreach.

This food is free, but there is substantial cost involved in the shipping, and entry into a foreign port with customs, inspectors, and value added tax. Although the enemy is fighting all of us every step of the way with delays, additional forms needed that weren’t needed with the last shipment, changing ports delaying the container from being dropped, etc., we hold fast to Psalm 37:5-9. We suit up and show up, and let God do what He does best - make it happen. God bless you for your prayers & helping hands. When blessing Israel, you are in turn blessed abundantly.
